South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw lit up Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday as the batter scored a century, the first of the T20 World Cup 2022. Rossouw looked in great touch right from the beginning. The southpaw then capitalized on the start he got as he reached his half-century in just 30 balls. Rossouw continued the onslaught as he smashed every bowler he faced. Eventually, the batter reached his second T20I century off 52 balls.

The Proteas batter who was making a comeback to the side after six years made a statement with his knock. Interestingly, it was the second century for the South African batter in just seven innings he has played this year. With Rossouw wreaking havoc on Bangladeshi bowlers, it was praise from all corners for the South African.

While some praised the batter for his ability to take on any bowler, some loved his zeal and temperament. Meanwhile, a few criticized Bangladesh for their mediocre effort on the field.
