India and New Zealand are playing a three-match ODI series. The first of which was played on 25 November and was won by Kane Williamson-led New Zealand. Tom Latham played a blistering knock of (145* off 104) to propel New Zealand over the line. Captain Williamson also chipped in with a 94*. Meanwhile, India missed the trick by playing only five bowlers.

India played with only five bowling options, and this hurt the Men in Blue big time. So, a couple of changes were bound to happen for the second ODI. Williamson once again won the toss and decided to bowl first. India captain Shikhar Dhawan announced at the toss that India have indeed made two changes.

While they brought in Deepak Chahar in place of Shardul Thakur, Sanju Samson was left out to accommodate Deepak Hooda (the sixth bowling option). This decision to leave Samson seemed a bit harsh with the wicketkeeper batter scoring runs in the last game. Samson scored a 38-ball 36. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant failed yet again as he got out after scoring 15 runs off 23 balls.

But Shikhar Dhawan and VVS Laxman persisted with Pant for the second ODI as well. So, with Samson getting dropped, fans were left highly disappointed by the team management and the Indian cricket board as they made some serious remarks. Twitter was flooded with reactions and most of them were angry.
