The Men in Blue had a disappointing end to the T20 World Cup 2022 after a humiliating 10-wicket defeat against England in the semifinal match. But as the team gears for the next T20 World Cup edition, the management is now looking for new permutations & combinations.

While the Hardik Pandya-led Team India registered a 1-0 series win over New Zealand in their first bilateral series post the T20 World Cup debacle, the mainstay, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli are now gearing to return to Indian colours for the Bangladesh tour. Ahead of this series, the Men in Blue have been handed a major blow.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the Bangladesh series. The 33-year-old who has been sidelined since the Asia Cup after suffering an injury, has reportedly not completely regained fitness. Jadeja suffered a freak injury during the Asia Cup 2022, ruling him out of the T20 World Cup also. He last played an international match on August 31 against Hong Kong.

There are reports doing rounds which suggest that he is likely to be replaced. Suryakumar Yadav, who is having a dream run so far in 2022, is in line to replace the star all-rounder. Notably, India is set to play three ODIs and two Tests during their tour of Bangladesh.
