The player who was trolled right and left for dropping a catch in Asia Cup 2023, broke Pakistan’s backbone in his first two overs at the T20 World Cup 2022. The left-arm quick dismissed Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam for a golden duck and then came back to take down Mohammad Rizwan in his next over.
Arshdeep Singh became unplayable for the Pakistani batters as he swung the ball both ways. He left the batters guessing with his variations. By claiming two of the most important wickets of the opposition, Singh sent Indian fans into jubilation. And such was the ecstasy in the Indian camp that Twitter was shortly flooded with praiseworthy tweets for the young pacer.
While some hailed the pacer for his fabulous temperament in the all-important game, a few came up with “Singh is King” tweets.
