Team India registered a comprehensive win against Netherlands in Group 2 match of T20 World Cup 2022. After a thrilling win against Pakistan, the high on confidence Rohit Sharma-led side showed dominance against the in-experienced Netherlands. Although, the side showed discipline in first 10 overs of the innings, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav made the most of the last 5 overs as the duo took India to 179 in 20 overs.
Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India with unbeaten 62, while Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav scored 53 and 51*, respectively.
Team India showed no mercy with the ball as well as the side restricted Netherlands to 123/9 in 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Chandran Ashwin picked 2 wickets apiece, while Mohammad Shami picked 1 wicket.
With this win, India have got a significant boost to their net-run rate. They are currently on top of Group 2.
