Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is celebrating his 28th birthday today. The batter is currently in Australia with his team for the marquee event, scheduled to begin from October 16, 2022 Down Under. The 16 skippers for tournament got together to celebrate his birthday after the joint Press Conference on Friday.
To add a cherry on top, the Australian captain Aaron Finch also presented his counterpart with another cake, as people cheered the host skipper for this gesture. The video of this has since then gone viral on social media.
Coming to the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will begin their campaign against India on October 23. While Pakistan is coming on the back of a tri-series win against Bangladesh and New Zealand, India defeated South Africa at home in T20I and ODI series.
The two sides will now play warm-up matches before they go neck and neck later this month. While India will play Australia and New Zealand on 17 th and 19 th October, Pakistan will play England and Afghanistan on the same two dates as mentioned above.
