All-rounder Ben Stokes carried England to their second ICC T20 World Cup title against Pakistan. Stokes scored his maiden T20I international half-century and helped the Three Lions chase down the tricky total of 138 runs in 19 overs. The all-rounder swung away across the line, into the gap at the mid-wicket boundary and hit the winning runs to the title for England.

This victory holds special importance for Stokes, as he conceded four sixes in the final over against the West Indies in the 2016  ICC T20 World Cup in India. At the end of the game, the all-rounder put up 52 in 49 balls with five fours and one six.

With this victory, Ben Stokes has been a crucial part of English cricket's most important moments. He scored 84 in 98 balls  and helped the Three Lions win  the 50-over World Cup final at Lord's. Reacting to the final, Stokes praised the team's bowlers who managed to restrict the Men in Green to 138. He said, " In finals especially when chasing... you probably forget all the hard work before that, how we bowled, Adil Rashid and Sam Curran won us the game. "

Ben Stokes further continued, It was a tricky wicket and one that you never felt in, so to restrict them to 130-odd bowlers have to take a lot of credit for that. With that (defeat to Ireland) being so early in the competition we obviously had to address it, say what had to be said and then let it go.
