India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli has continued his prolific run at the T20 World Cup 2022 as the 33-year-old hit his second half-century of the tournament in the second match. Kohli started slow but caught up really well as he brought a half-century for himself in 37 balls. Although Kohli got to his 50 with a single, it’s the shot he played before that ball caught the attention of the fans.

Kohli, who was struggling a bit to time the ball earlier, perfectly connected his inside-out shot against left-arm pacer Fred Klaasen in the 17th over of India’s innings. The batter looked quite impressed with himself as he hit that shot. Kohli was seen making a surprised face as he went to Suryakumar Yadav for a fist bump.

Watch the incredible shot here:

The former India captain ended the innings with an unbeaten 62 against his name which he scored off 44 balls. Kohli struggled to score his shots freely as the ball was not coming onto the bat that well. But as is the case with him, he ran hard between the wickets, and knocked a few shots here and there before unfurling the big shots. The batter hit three boundaries and two sixes in his inning.

Kohli got great support from Suryakumar Yadav as the latter upped the ante as soon as he came onto the crease. Yadav, played his unconventional shots as hit a 25-ball 51 to finish things on high for India. Yadav dispatched a down-the-leg ball from Logan van Beek over fine leg to bring up a half-century for himself.
