The second edition of the Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series Inter District Youth League 2024 commenced from March 5. The tournament will be played until April 6, at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune.
The tournament will see skilled kabaddi players across the state of Maharashtra showcasing their talent at the big stage. The tournament will be played in different pools which are divided into Pool A, Pool B, Promotion round, Relegation round, and the final summit round.
While Pool A consists of teams from Ahmednagar district, Beed district, Ratnagiri district, Mumbai Shahar, Raigad district, Nanded district, Dhule district, and Jalna district; Pool B consists of teams Nandurbar district, Palghar district, Kolhapur district, Latur district, Dharashiv district, Nashik district, Sangli district, and Satara district.
What is the format of Yuva Kabaddi Series Inter District Youth League 2 024?
Pool A: 8 Teams (March 5-11, 2024)
It will be played in a round-robin format where every team will play against each other once. There will be a total of 28 matches from which the top four teams will make it to the promotion round and the bottom four teams will move to the relegation round.
Pool B: 8 Teams (March 12-18, 2024)
The Pool B will be played in a round-robin format in which every team will play against each other once, just like the Pool A. The top four teams will make it to the promotion round and the bottom four will make it to the relegation round.
Promotion Round: 8 Teams (March 19-25, 2024)
In the promotion round, the format will be the same with every team playing one match each against the other team. Total of 28 matches will be played from which all the teams will make it to the summit round.
However, their position will define their path to the final round as the teams which will finish at higher position will qualify easily for the final while the bottom two teams will have to play eliminator to reach the summit round.
Relegation Round: 8 Teams (March 26 to April 1, 2024)
In this round too, there will be 28 games with every team playing against each other once. Here, the top two teams will qualify for the summit round by playing eliminator matches. Apart from them, there will be six eliminations in the round.
Summit Round: 10 Teams (April 3-6, 2024)
There will be a total of 10 teams in this round where eight teams are coming directly from the promotion round and two teams from the relegation round.
