With just 1 more day to go for the resumption of IPL 2021, the excitement is getting bigger for fans all over the world. The phase 2 of IPL 2021 starts with El Classico of IPL between CSK vs MI. Let us have a look at some of the interesting stats related to number 1 in the tournament.

1 - RR is the first team to win inaugural IPL trophy.

Rajasthan Royals were the first team to win trophy in the IPL 2008 under spin magician Shane Warne's captaincy and so far they have managed to win only 1 IPL trophy. Post that, RR managed to enter Playoffs in 2013, 2015 & 2018 season respectively but were unable to enter the IPL finals.

1 - Only one batsman has smashed a century for KKR in IPL history.

Brendon McCullum in the inaugural match of IPL 2008 smashed 158*(73) vs RCB and that remains to be the only century for KKR in the IPL history so far. Next best individulal score for KKR remains to Former Skipper Dinesh Karthik's knock off 97*(50) vs RR in IPL 2019.

Ravichandran Ashwin played 5 matches in IPL 2021 and just managed to take only 1 wicket earlier in this tournament. Ashwin is expected to be key bowler for Delhi Capitals in UAE as the tracks are expected to be spin friendly. Ashwin has also got a surprise call in World T20 Squad after 4 years which would motivate him to do better as well.

Robin Uthappa, the Orange Cap holder of 2014 IPL season smashed 660 runs from 16 games at an impressive average of 44 and Strike rate of 137.78. His consistent run with the bat helped KKR win many games and later they ended up lifting the IPL trophy as well, by defeating Punjab Kings in 2014 finals.
