Although Delhi Capitals put on a dominating performance against Punjab Kings on Wednesday evening, their all-rounder Axar Patel did not look too pleased with what has been going on with his team. The DC player was overheard saying that he is not enjoying the way they are getting to play the games in IPL 2022.

Before the start of the post-match press conference, Patel was unaware that he was live and ended up saying, "Kahan maza aa raha hai, 1 dinn khilate hai, 3 dinn andar daalte hai". But by the time he realised, it was too late. Patel was visibly upset with the COVID protocol they are being made to follow post the outbreak in the DC camp.

Notably, a few of DC's overseas players including Mitchell Marsh and Tim Seifert and support staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. This had also put the DC vs PBKS match in danger. The game was moved from Pune to Mumbai. DC's next game of the season has also been moved to Wankhede Stadium from the MCA Stadium in Pune.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced a change of venue for Match No. 34 – Delhi Capital versus Rajasthan Royals from MCA Stadium, Pune to Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai scheduled on April 22th, 2022.

The decision on the change of venue was made as a precautionary measure after Delhi Capitals registered the 6th COVID case with New Zealand wicketkeeper Mr Tim Seifert returning positive in today’s RT-PCR testing," read the IPL release.
