With just 2 more days to go for the resumption of IPL 2021, the excitement is getting bigger for fans all over the world. Virat Kohli's decision to step down as captain from T20Is post WT20 has been shocking news for his fans and all eyes will be on his 200th IPL game on Monday, where his team would be taking on KKR. Let us have a look at some of the stats related to number 2 in the tournament.

2 - Number of IPL titles won by KKR is 2.

Former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir has successfully led KKR to 2 IPL trophies, in the year 2012 & 2014. In both IPL finals, KKR chased down humongous totals of 191 & 200 runs respectively. Gambhir played a very big role in both title wins. Robbie Uthappa still remains to be the only player to win IPL Trophy and Orange Cap in same season.

2 - Number of maiden overs bowled by Ishant Sharma in IPL 2021 is 2.

Ishant Sharma has played just 3 matches for DC in the absence of Ravi Ashwin in IPL 2021. Ishant, despite not being impressive with the ball, he has been the only bowler so far to have bowled 2 maiden overs in the 2021 IPL season.

2 - Number of IPL seasons PBKS qualified for Semi-Finals (or) Playoffs is 2.

PBKS over the years hasn't been impressive in the IPL. Punjab, in 2008 ended up being 2nd in points table but lost the Semi-Final game to CSK. PBKS in 2014 were table toppers but lost the final to KKR, despite a century from their number 4 batsman Wriddhiman Saha.

2 - Rajasthan Royals have had 2 centurions in IPL 2021

Overall, 3 batsman have smashed century in IPL 2021 so far. Out of which, 2 batsmen came from RR team. Two players who smashed century for RR in IPL 2021 were Sanju Samson & Jos Buttler.

Sanju Samson smashed 119 against PBKS in Wankhade Stadium while chasing a big total of 222 runs. Samson's valiant effort ended in vain as RR fell short by just 4 runs. Mranwhile, Jos Buttler's 124 vs SRH ensured his team ended up winning the match comfortably by 55 runs. Jos Buttler's 124 remains to be the highest individual score for RR player in IPL history.
