Preview

Against to what had been happening at the start of every series during England's ongoing India tour, the hosts have won the series opener this time. There is no doubt that India played good cricket with winning some nerve-racking moments in the first ODI, the credit of the win also goes to England, who decided to stick to their plan of playing attacking cricket despite the required run-rate being under control.

Eoin Morgan has already hinted that England would not change their style of play given the T20 World Cup is round the corner. The side will definitely be under pressure as they couldn't afford to lose any game from here. They have to win next two games to win the series. India, meanwhile, will be high on spirits as they have already clinched the Test series 3-1 and the T20I series 3-2 and have broken the jinx with a win in the ODI series opener against England.

Team News

India

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the series following the shoulder injury he sustained in the first game while an update on Rohit Sharma is still awaite, however, reports say that he is fit to play. Keeping these things aside, there are a lot of positives for India from the first ODI.

Talking about the batting department, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are back in form. Meanwhile, debutants Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna were terrific in the first ODI. While Krunal had a ball since the start of his innings, Krishna held his nerves to return brilliantly in his second spell of bowling.

England

Two back-to-back series defeats at the hands of India and now trailing by a game, things are definitely not that easy for England from here on. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow were in great touch in the first game but rest of the team just couldn't hang on in the ground, however, bowling wise England were good.

Injury concerns are really there for England and Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings might miss the upcoming games. If this happens, England would be in some real trouble.
