Venue: The Wanderers Stadium, Johanessburg

Preview

After a bitter defeat in the 1st ODI, South Africa will enter the field to save the series. Pakistan clinched a last-ball thriller in the first ODI and took a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series. The pressure will be on the hosts to save the series on their home soil.

Pakistan skipper and best batsman Babar Azam once again showcased his wizardry and smoked a ton while chasing. He, however, had to return back to the pavilion after Anrich Nortje got him out. Babar’s form reflects the team’s form. It is thus very critical for Babar to play well.

South Africa need to iron out a few flaws and then they can challenge a confident Pakistan. However, this will be the last ODI where Nortje, Rabada, De Kock, Miller and Ngidi play and thus the Proteas stand at a greater chance at pocketing this game.

If Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada bowl in tandem like they did in the first game and if Markram and De Kock give a good start to the South Africans, then we can witness some pulsating action in this game too.
