The 2022 mega auction is undoubtedly going to be an iconic event as the transfer of players would redefine the existing IPL franchisees completely. Additionally, since IPL 2022 is set to be a 10-team event, the coming of two new franchises would result in an exciting auction given the emerging performances of many players in IPL 2021. With the current franchises likely to have the option to retain 3 players from their side, a plethora of key players who were impressive this season are expected to go for a high bid at the auction.

Speaking of SunRisers Hyderabad, despite the team having a worth-forgetting season, some of its players showed some cricketing brilliance on the field and will definitely get good money in the mega auction for IPL 2022. Let’s have a look at 3 such players from SRH.

3 players from SRH who can get good money in IPL 2022 mega auction

1. Manish Pandey

The Indian player is the most consistent batter for the side and has always strengthened the batting order for whichever teams he has played for. He’s the second top run-scorer for SRH after David Warner, with 3560 IPL runs to his name. The 33-year-old is a reliable batter and has delivered while playing in the top as well as middle order. In IPL 2021, Manish Pandey was the highest run-scorer for the side with 292 runs in 8 matches with an average of 48.66. Given his past record and current form, the Indian batter will be eyed by many IPL franchises as his flamboyant batting style and maturity while playing provides quintessential experience to the batting order. Pandey was acquired by SunRisers in 2018 for INR 11 crore, making him their most expensive buy of the 2018 auction.

With a striking improvement in his tally with every IPL season, it won’t be surprising if Manish Pandey beats his own record of INR 11 crore as he’s definitely going to be in the list of players who are going to get good money in the mega auction.

2. Jason Holder

The Caribbean all-rounder is yet another SRH player who’ll undoubtedly go big in the upcoming mega auction. Jason Holder was roped in by Sunrisers in 2020 as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh which apparently proved to be extremely advantageous for the side. In the 2020 season, Holder made his presence felt by picking 14 wickets in just 7 matches. In IPL 2021, he was the second highest wicket-taker for SRH, picking 16 wickets in 8 games. Not only his intimidating bowling, Jason Holder possesses the ability to smash power-hitting shots and fill in the role of a finisher which gives him an edge over other pacers.

Given the performances of the all-rounder in the last two editions of IPL along with the consistency and wicket-taking ability, Jason Holder is likely to get a good amount in the mega auction that is set to take place ahead of IPL 2022.

3. Jason Roy

The English opener will be on the list of many franchises given his ability to provide quick starts as well as stabilise the innings from one end. Although he’s relatively new in the IPL scene, Jason Roy is a consistent opener in England’s limited-overs cricket and is known for providing fiery starts to the side. Besides this, the opener ensures to strengthen the innings and plays match-winning knocks for his side. Despite playing a handful games in IPL 2021, Jason Roy scored 150 runs with an average of almost 30 on UAE pitches.

With the mega auction taking place in 2022, franchises will consider picking the Englishman as a bankable opening batter choice and is likely to get a high bid owing to his power-hitting abilities.
