Virat Kohli is one of the top-notch cricketers in this country. He has achieved many milestones both on and off the field. Kohli has smashed 70 centuries in international cricket. As a captain too, he has some meaningful records to his name.

With Virat Kohli, you get fame and sometimes too much attention. The former Indian captain has lost his cool at times and the aggression in him just came out on the field.

Let's look at five such incidents where Kohli lost his cool and used abusive language.

1. Middle finger to the Australian crowd

When speaking about Kohli and his aggression, the first incident that automatically pops up is the famous middle finger incident in Australia back in 2011. During those years, Kohli was younger and had just made it into the Indian Test team setup. In the Sydney Test match of that series, where India was thrashed 4-0, Virat was fielding at the boundary when the Australian crowd started throwing abuses at him and, in response, Virat Kohli infamously raised his middle finger towards the crowd, which was caught on camera. It turned out to be an ugly scene.

2. Virat Kohli hurls abuses on Rubel Hossain

Another incident regarding Kohli losing his cool was back in the 2011 World Cup. India was playing their first game (the opening match of the 2011 WC) against Bangladesh in Dhaka. India had started brilliantly thanks to Virendra Sehwag's explosive innings. Virat Kohli had just come onto bat after Gautam Gambhir's wicket, and up against him was Rubel Hossain. Virat played out some initial deliveries, which frustrated the bowler, who gave away a stare to Virat. That stare didn't go well with Virat Kohli and he immediately rushed to the bowler and a few unwanted words were exchanged. The anger of Kohli uttering those words was caught on camera.

3. Gautam Gambhir vs Virat Kohli showdown

This infamous incident happened in the game between RCB and KKR. The RCB team was alleged to have abused KKR players during their batting in the first innings. Then KKR captain Gambhir didn't like it and he decided to give it back during the RCB innings. During RCB's innings, sledging was in full flow by KKR fielders and then Virat Kohli got out which bring out a wild celebration from Gambhir.

Kohli straightway stormed towards Gambhir and started abusing him which angered Gambhir too and both had an ugly face-off wherein KKR teammates and the umpire had to step in to separate the duo.

4. Kohli-Smith verbal altercation

This time, Australia travelled to India for a 4-match series. In the Bangalore Test match of that series, an incident happened when Australian captain Steve Smith was given out and he went to get help from the dressing room through some gestures regarding the DRS call. After seeing this, Virat Kohli went straight to Smith and exchanged a few heated and swearing words. Both had big alterations where they were separated by the umpire.

5. Virat Kohli's unique way of motivating Murli Vijay

India was playing a Test series in South Africa and had lost the first match to the host. During the 2nd Test, during India's 1st innings, when they were 80-2, Virat Kohli was infamously caught on stump mic saying to his non-striker partner Murali Vijay, “ shaam tak khelenge toh unki g*** phat jaayegi." ( If we bat out the whole day, the opposing team will be on the back foot.)
