The stage is set for fans to relive India's best sporting moments of all time (1983 World Cup win) on the big screen as Ranveer Singh starrer movie '83' hits the cinema halls on December 24, Friday. The film is about country's incredible achievement in the sport of cricket 38 years ago, where they clinched the prestigious trophy at Lord's against all odds.
The Bollywood movie has been directed by Kabir Khan and has a star cast, featuring Ranveer Singh (as Kapil Dev) and Deepika Padukone (as Romi Bhatia, Kapil Dev's wife). Some of the other main actors who are part of the movie are as follows:

With the much-awaited film set to release this week, it must be noted that the advance booking for '83' has already started online. Here is how you can book the tickets:
Step 1: Go to an online ticket booking website
You can visit www.paytm.com or www.bookmyshow.com to begin the process of booking tickets for 83 (film). After opening the website, select the city where you wish to see the movie.
Step 2: Select 83 (film)
You will get a list of all the films which are available in cinema halls (in your city) under the 'recommended movies' list. Among them, you need to find and select 83.
Step 3: Click on 'Book Tickets'
There will be an option of 'Book Ticket' flashing on your screen which you can select to go ahead. Although the advance booking of 83 has started in most of the cities, in case it is not available in your city, you can select the option of 'I'm Interested' wherein you will be notified whenever the tickets become available.
Step 4: Select language and format
You will get the option of selecting the language and format in the next step. While Hindi might be the only option in a few cities, you might get an option of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in others. In the format, there will be 2D and even 3D (in some cities).
Step 5: Select date, cinema hall and timings
You can then select the dates, your choice of a cinema hall and the time slot for which you wish to make the booking. There will be ample options to choose from as 83 is released in almost all theatres and multiplexes.
Step 6: Select seats
You can select the number of seats and then choose the seats to complete the booking.
Post that, you need to make the payment and confirm your booking. Notably, you can select the option of 'Mobile E-booking' and 'Box office pick-up'. The tickets will be sent to you on the e-mail id and mobile no. which you would have entered in the final step.
