For fans waiting eagerly to watch the 83 trailer, it is finally out now with the movie set to be released on December 24. Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev looks promising and convincing as the 3 minute 49 second video is likely to give goosebumps to every cricket fan in the country. The story revolves around a win that played big role in making the country mad about the game.
Director Kabir Khan, known for his emotional movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has beautifully blended emotions with sports and narrative as he takes us back to the time when no one believed that the Indian side could lift the World Cup.
At a particular point in the trailer at a press conference, when India skipper Dev is questioned why is he in England, the character answers to win the World Cup, the journalists seem to be in disbelief after hearing the answer.
As it turned out India indeed lifted the trophy after beating two-time World Champions West Indies in the final.

The movie features stars like Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi all playing members of the Indian team with Deepika Padukone seen playing Romi, Kapil Dev's wife.
Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International and Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios in partnership with Reliance Entertainment will present the Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie respectively. Similarly, Prithviraj’s production house and Kichcha Sudeepa’s Shalini Arts will take out the Malayalam and Kannada versions of the film respectively.
For the unversed, Deepika doubled up as the producer of the film along with Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films and Reliance Entertainment.
