Rajasthan Royals are just one win away from getting a ‘Q’ against their name. The Sanju Samson-led team has almost booked a spot for themselves in the playoff with a win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their 13th game. It was a clean win for RR as they outperformed their opponents in all departments.
Sanju Samson asked his batters to put on a total and they obliged as they got 178/6 in their 20 overs. It was then a dominance from the RR bowlers to restrict Lucknow to 154/8. Trent Boult was the best bowler for RR with his spell of 4-0-18-2. He was ably supported by his fellow bowlers.
For Lucknow, it never got going right from the beginning. KL Rahul made some errors in handling his bowlers. The LSG fielders also did not contribute enough as they dropped quite a few catches. In the chase, three early blows put LSG off the track. Deepak Hooda did try to bail them out with a brilliant half-century but got little support from others.
