As the whole cricket world await the biggest clashes of T20 World Cup 2021 on October 24 between India and Pakistan, both teams have begun their preparations with warm-up games. Virat Kohli and Babar Azam’s sides made an impressive first impression with wins over England and West Indies respectively.
However, things were quite contrasting for them on Wednesday just a few days before the mega blockbuster contest. While India absolutely outplayed Australia in a one-sided contest, it wasn’t a great outing for Pakistan in Dubai.
Disappointing bowling display from Pakistan
After being asked to bat first, Pakistan had an impressive outing with the bat as they went on to post a competitive total of 186/6 in 20 overs on the back of Fakhar Zaman’s half-century. In reply, the Proteas were reeling at 15/2 in 3 overs and the platform was set for a comfortable SA victory.
However, Pakistan bowlers completely lost the plot after that as Rassie van der Dussen played a sensational knock. 47 runs were needed in the last three overs as Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali conceded 18, 10 and 22 runs respectively as the Proteas hunted down the target, much to the shock of Pakistan fans.
The netizens did not miss out the opportunity to troll Pakistan as their bowlers came up with another dismal performance, just few days before the big game against India. Twitter was filled with posts with how a star-studded Indian batting line-up would fare against such a bowling attack on October 24.
