Former three-time United States Champion AJ Styles is on the verge of signing a multi-million dollar extension with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). According to reports by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the WWE is looking to lock up Styles before free agency.

Sapp’s report said, “WE expected Styles to have plenty of suitors, and we're told that as in the case with some other big names in the company, [the promotion] wanted to get Styles' deal extended before he could even hit free agency to talk to anyone else."AJ Styles’ deal could stretch out as a multiyear deal, but its duration hasn’t been publicised yet.

The signing of the deal could also ensure the Phenomenal One’s key involvement in the upcoming Pay Per Views like Wrestlemania. He could be pitted against Hall of Famer Edge, who returned to the WWE in 2020. In the recent Raw Event, the Rated R Superstar slyly called out AJ Styles as he was quoted saying “I still dream about walking down that aisle at WrestleMania, soaking in all that energy that you give me so I can be phenomenal.”

AJ Styles superstar resigned with WWE in 2019 after his initial deal and expressed how he wants to continue with his current company in a recent interview with Wrestling INC. The 44-year-old superstar wants to hopefully retire in the WWE and then work with upcoming wrestlers.

The Phenomenal One was quoted saying, “It was easy. I want to be here, this is the place for me. “If they let me I will retire here, I hope to work in WWE in some capacity when I retire. I enjoy what I do.”

“I would love to have that opportunity. I love to see people be successful, and having a hand in that to me, it would probably be the best thing I could do in my career. But, I don’t that I’ll get that opportunity, I am just saying.” In his time at the WWE, AJ Styles has won two  WWE Championship, threes United States Championship, one  Intercontinental Championship, and one  Raw Tag Team Championship.
