Team India's veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane on Monday shared an adorable picture with his daughter and asked people to take the necessary precautions amid the crunch time of the global pandemic. While the second wave of the COVID-19 has returned with more strength, it has already affected plenty of people and the situation is getting worse day by day.

Meanwhile, Rahane has requested everyone to wear masks and take the necessary steps to stay safe as well. In the picture, his little daughter Aarya, can be seen looking at his face as he wore a mask. Ajinkya Rahane shared the picture with the caption, “She finds it odd but it’s a necessity when we travel now. Please mask up and stay safe!”

Ajinkya Rahane is currently playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While in the first game he didn’t bat, he managed only eight runs in the second game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR).

And his poor show saw him out of the playing XI against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday. Rahane has so far played 151 games in IPL and has scored 3941 runs, which came at an average and strike rate of 31.53 and 121.34, respectively. It will be interesting to see whether Ajinkya Rahane gets another chance in the playing XI when Delhi Capitals takes on the defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 20.
