The much-anticipated Esports Premier League 2021 has finally been announced and the gamers can't wait for the matches to begin. The registrations for the multi-city gaming tournament have been started by India Today Gaming on May 15 and the stage is set for an exciting three-month long event. Notably, ESPL 2021 is based on the popular online multiplayer battle royale game - Fire Fire.

With so much excitement and buzz around the event, here is everything you need to know about ESPL 2021:

When will the tournament begin?

The matches of ESPL 2021 are scheduled to start on June 16, with the tournament set to conclude on August 29.

Is it an individual event or a team event?

ESPL 2021 is a team-based league where the participants will have to form a team of four members. The teams can also have one additional member who can serve as replacement later in case of any emergency.

Who can participate in ESPL 2021?

The tournament is open for all participants across the country. The will have to represent one of the following regions - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Punjab, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Rajasthan.

What will be the format of the tournament?

In order to select the best teams, the tournament will be based around "Versus", "Best of 5", and "Best of 8" formats.

How can the interested participants register?

All the interested participants can visit the official website of ESPL 2021 and can register themselves. The Level 1 Phase 1 registrations have begun and will be open till June 14. Notably, there will be Phase 2 registrations post that for any last-minute entries.

What is the prize pool?

The total prize pool of ESPL 2021 will be INR 25 lakh in addition to a magnificent trophy.
