In the 2nd Test of historic series between Pakistan and Australia, the two sides produced one of the most thrilling games of red-ball cricket of recent times. After the visitors put on a mammoth total of 556/9 in first innings, Babar Azam’s side were bundled out on 148 in first innings. Pat Cummins decided against enforcing follow-on and added 97/2 to set up a target of 506 runs for the home side.
It looked just a matter of time before the match would end and Australia would win. But, Pakistan had other plans. After losing a couple of early wickets, Abdullah Shafique (96 off 305) and Babar Azam (196 off 425) wreaked havoc in the middle and just when the visitors got a ray of hope on Day 5, Mohammad Rizwan (104* off 177) showed his class in Karachi.
