In a recent development, it is now being known that Delhi Capitals speedster Anrich Nortje has joined the team's bio-bubble on Friday. While earlier reports had claimed that the South African star had tested positive for COVID-19, fresh reports have confirmed that it was a false positive test which extended his stay in the mandatory quarantine. The news comes as a relief for Delhi fans as the duo of Nortje and Kagiso Rabada's impressive performances were among the reasons Delhi reached their maiden final last season.

Nortje-less Delhi succumb to defeat against RR

Meanwhile, Delhi took the field without Nortje on Thursday. In his absence, the bowlers almost defended a modest total of 147. However, in the end overs, both Rabada and Tom Curran missed their lengths only to be punished by Chris Morris. In the end, RR won the match by 3 wickets.

Axar Patel had tested Coronavirus positive

Earlier, DC's Axar Patel had tested positive for COVID-19. Consequently, he hasn't been part of the two of Delhi matches so far. In addition, the Delhi camp is also dealing with injury concerns with head coach Ricky Ponting confirming that Ishant Shamra is nursing a heel niggle. Young Avesh Khan, however, has done a good job in filling up the Indian pacer's slot in the team which also boasts of having Umesh Yadav.
