Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma shared a glimpse of her preparation for her new film 'Chakda Xpress' in which she plays the role of celebrated Indian pace bowler Jhulan Goswami. Anushka posted two pictures of her bowling at the nets and captioned, 'grip by grip' with two hashtags, "prep" and "Chakda Xpress."

The first picture is a close-up shot of her hand as she learns how to grip the cricket ball and in the second image, we see the leading actress who is in action wearing black T-shirt and sunglasses.

After posting the picture Anushka received praises from every corner. The veteran cricketer herself lauded her efforts by dropping a comment that says, "Very nice," with thumbs up emojis.

With 'Chakda Xpress' Anushka is making her return to the industry after her pregnancy. The movie traces the story of decorated Indian player Jhulan who holds the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.

Earlier, Anushka, who is the wife of cricketer Virat Kohli, shared a one-minute teaser of Chakda Xpress. "It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women's cricket," her caption read.

"As a woman, I was proud to hear Jhulan's story and it is an honour for me to try and bring her life to audiences and cricket lovers. As a cricketing nation, we have to give our women cricketers their due. Jhulan's story is truly an underdog story in the history of cricket in India and the film is our celebration of her spirit," she added.

Notably, Jhulan's story is an inspiration to many around the world. From a humble background, she went on to become the captain of Indian women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring cricketers all over the world. Her life is an inspiration for women who are willing to break the stereotypes and go beyond societal barriers.
