What a match fans witnessed between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium on Friday. While the Men in Yellow got off to a great start in the powerplay over with Moeen Ali registering the second-fastest fifty for the franchise off just 19 balls and helping them score over 75 in the first six overs, the team eventually ended with just 150/6. No other batter got going and even Moeen slowed down with wickets falling at the other end.
Despite that Chennai still managed to make a match out of it after reducing Rajasthan to 112/5 in 16.2 overs. However, an unlikely saviour from the Men in Pink stood tall for them in this match and it was none other than Ravichandran Ashwin. While he finished with 1/28 in his 4 overs, more than that, it was his 40 off 23 balls that helped RR beat CSK by 5 wickets and 2 balls remaining.
