It was another shambolic performance from five-time champions Mumbai Indians as they lost their fourth game of the season. After starting brilliantly in the powerplay, Mumbai Indians completely lost the plot in the middle overs. They lost five wickets one after the other and were suddenly down to 62/5 from 50/0. However, Suryakumar Yadav bailed the team out of trouble with his 37-ball 68* and helped MI post 151/6 on the board.
But MI were 15-20 runs short right from the beginning of the chase for RCB. On top of that, some sublime hitting from youngster Anuj Rawat made it even easier for RCB. The southpaw batter hit a 47-ball 66 before being run out. Virat Kohli also stepped up to the occasion as he scored 48 runs off 36 balls with the help of five boundaries.
These two top knocks in the RCB camp sealed the game for them and they registered their third win of the season. As Mumbai lost its fourth consecutive game, Twitter was flooded with memes trolling the five-time champions.
