The 11th edition of Australian T20 League kicked off on Sunday with defending champions Sydney Sixers locking horns with Melbourne Stars. In the second match of the highly anticipated tournament, Sydney Thunder take on Brisbane Heat. The two teams are led by Chris Green and Jimmy Pierson respectively. The match will also feature some notable names like Ben Duckett, Chris Lynn, Alex Hales, Sam Billings and many more.
Alex Hales played a key role for Sydney Thunder this season. The opener smashed 543 runs and finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer of the team last season. He will again be a vital player for the team in the forthcoming season.
Marnus Labuschagne, Mitch Swepson, Mark Steketee, Michael Neser and Tom Abell will all be unavailable as they are on duty with their national sides. As a result, plenty of new faces will be getting an opportunity to impress in this match.
The spotlight will be on English players Ben Duckett and Alex Hales. While experienced players Chris Lynn, Sam Billings, Daniel Sams, Ben Cutting and Chris Green will have added responsibility on their shoulders of guiding the young players. These players can also be good choices for the captain and vice-captaincy roles.
