Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday won a thrilling match against Delhi Capitals after their batter Srikar Bharat scored a six off the last ball to seal the contest. Bharat, who has been a vital cog in RCB’s batting, scored unbeaten 78 off 52 to help his side end with a win in the final league match of IPL 2021.
In one of the eye-catching moments, DC pacer Avesh Khan had teasingly laughed on himself after KS Bharat had missed to connect a shot on the fourth ball of the final over of the match. The smile went unnoticed at the real time but as soon as Bharat took his team home, Avesh’s smiling picture went viral on internet and became a meme material for many.
Notably, on the fourth ball of his final over, Avesh had bowled a delivery outside off that Bharat failed to connect. The speedster stopped on the pitch to give a stare and a laugh on the fact that he had escaped a big shot from Bharat. On the very next ball, Bharat dug a yorker delivery for a couple before Avesh could bowl a wide in the follow up. With 5 needed off the final ball, Avesh missed his length and bowled a full toss to Bharat who cashed in on the opportunity and smashed the ball down the ground for a six. The RCB camp was erupted in joy post the thrilling finish and the netizens found just another moment to have fun and Avesh Khan was their victim this time.
