German F1 driver Mick Schumacher capped off another disappointing weekend as he finished 14th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku. The Haas driver has been struggling over his first two F1 seasons as the Baku race marks the third occasion where he has managed to finish above the bottom five.
This 14th place finish also comes with a caveat as four drivers were DNF when Mick Schumacher overtook Williams’ driver Nicolas Latifi. The weekend itself started off on a poor note as his team made a massive blunder in the qualification. The former F2 Champion entered into the pit for the medium compound tires for improving his stagnant position.
But his team wasn’t ready as they brought only three out of the four tires and cost the youngster valuable time. He then went to qualify last on the grid but fortunately gained six places to end another terrible race week. Schumacher is currently 19th in standings above Latifi and Niko Hulkenberg who just drove in the first two races for Aston Martin.
F1 fans on Twitter were extremely angry with Haas’ treatment and reacted that the American outfit is ruining the German’s career. The Netizens also pointed out how the team has been inefficient after the first race weekend.
