The renowned French publication, France Football has announced the nominees for the 2022 Ballon d'Or, women's, Kopa and Yashin trophy on Friday. The Ballon d'Or 2022 ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 17.

Shockingly, the record seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi failed to make it among the 30 nominees for the 2022 award. While this was the first time since 2005 that Messi, who won the 2021 award, was not named in the 30-man shortlist of the prestigious award, his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo was included in the list.

Real Madrid's Karim Benzema is expected to win the award after his dream season with the Spanish giants and French National team. Here are the complete lists of nominees for men's, and women's Ballon d'Or, Kopa Trophy, and Yashin Trophy awards:
