Sri Lanka finally opens their account with 10 super league points with a win. They really lifted their performance in this game. After winning the toss Lanka decided to bat first this time. They have chased twice in this series and lost both of those games. Captain Kusal Perera led from the front and smashed brilliant innings of 120 of 122 balls. When he got out Dhananjaya carried on and hit an important half-century to post 286-8 after 50 overs. Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers who took 4 wickets in the match.

Bangladesh got off to a poor start, lost 3 wickets before the end of the powerplay. Rahim and Mosaddek steadied the innings for a while but soon Mushfiqur fell on 28 that was really the turning point for the Tigers. Their early collapse felt too big to recover from. Even half-centuries from Mahmudullah and Mosaddek could not take Bangladesh home. Dushmantha Chameera who was playing his 28th ODI attained a five-wicket haul in the game and was awarded player of the match. Ultimately they lost the fight and the match by 97 runs in 43rd over.

Bangladesh fails to get a clean sweep over Sri Lanka it ends 2-1.

Wicket!! Fernando dismisses Mahmudullah on 53 and wins it for his team.

After 41 overs, Bangladesh is 181 for 9, nine runs and a wicket coming off that over.

Wicket!! Hasaranga removes Shoriful by a caught behind.

Six!! Mahmudullah smashed a slog sweep and gets six runs.

Chameera scalps five, Bangladesh struggle continues; it's 171-8 after 40 overs

Bowled!!! You miss I hit. Chameera removes Taskin with quick delivery. Taskin has no idea what just happened. It's a five wicket-haul for him.

Out!! Chameera strikes again, Mehidy went for a duck.

After 38 overs, it's 161 for 6, four runs and a wicket coming off that over.

Wicket!!! Afif is out tried to sweep but it went up in the air and safely received by Chameera.

After 37 overs, it's 157 for 5, four runs coming off Chameera.

Appeal for LBW from Chameera against Mahmudullah but the umpire does not move.

After 36 overs, the score moves to 153-5. 7 runs coming off Hasaranga.

Afif and Mahmudullah keep the game alive for Bangladesh. They are 146 for 5 after 35 overs.

Mendis concedes 7 runs, Bangladesh are 137 for 5 after 34 overs.

With a wicket and 3 runs coming off Mendis, it's 126-5 after 32 overs.

Wicket!!!! Mendis removes Mosaddek, he tried to be cheeky and goes for the reverse sweep but found the fielder at short third-man.

Bangladesh stands at 123 for 4 after 31 overs. The required rate is increasing every over.

After 30 overs, it's 120 for 4, 7 runs coming off that over.

Fernando keeps it tight, Bangladesh 113 for 4 after 29 overs.

After 28 overs, it's 109 for 4, Bangladesh needs 176 runs to win in 22 overs.

Mendis concedes 9 runs in that over, it's 99 for 4 after 26 overs.

Hasaranga concedes only 2 runs, it's 90 for 4 after 25 overs.

Wicket!!! Rahim is caught t at long-on after scoring 28 runs. He tried to take on Mendis by stepping down the pitch but failed. Bangladesh is in big trouble now.

Hasaranga is not bowling any loose balls and gives away only 4 runs. it's 84 for 3 after 23 overs.

Mendis concedes 5 runs, Bangladesh are 80 for 3 after 22 overs.

After 21 overs it's 75-3, five runs off Hasaranga.

After 20 overs it's 70 for 3, two runs coming off the over.

Hasaranga is consistently keeping it tight, gave only 4 runs in the over. Bangladesh are 68 for 3 after 19 overs.

After 18 overs, it's 64 for 3, Karunaratne concedes 11 runs in that over.

Six!!! Moseddek pulls a short ball for 6 runs over mid-wicket.

Mushfiqur again taking the responsibility on his shoulders to stable Bangladesh's innings. It's 53 for 3 after 17 overs.

16 overs have gone Bangladesh is 51 for 3.

Hasaranga keeps it tight and concedes only 1 run in the over. Bangladesh 49 for 3 after 15 overs.

After 14 overs Bangladesh is 48 for 3, 7 runs coming off that over including a boundary.

Fernando keeps it tight, Bangladesh is 47 for 3 after 13 overs.

After 12 overs it's 38 for 3, Chameera concedes 5 runs in that over.

Chameera concedes 4 runs in the over. It's 33-3 after 11 overs.

After 10 overs it's 29 for 3, 1 run and a wicket coming off that over.

That's the end of 5 overs, Sri Lanka are 13/2 as Shakib also fell prey to Chameera.

Naim departs for 1 run, Bangladesh are 3/1 after 2 overs. Dushmantha Chameera claims the wicket.

Bangladesh are 2/0 after the end of 1st over.

04:52 PM - So, how was your break? We are back again with the LIVE action as Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Naim start the innings for Bangladesh. Dhananjaya de Silva has the ball in hand.

Sri Lanka ends their innings at 286 for 6 after 50 overs. Shoriful conceded 18 runs in the final over.

Fifty for Dhananjaya. He clears his left leg and hit a fantastic shot towards extra cover for runs.

Six and No Ball! Mendis hit an above waist delivery for six runs. Islam was aiming for a yorker but missed by a long margin.

After 49 overs, Sri Lanka is 268 for 6. A brilliant over by Taskin conceded only 2 runs and got a wicket.

Wicket!!! Hasaranga dismissed on 18. Mehidy takes a simple catch at long-on. Taskin gets his 4th scalp of the match.

Mustafizur finishes his quota of overs and gave away 7 runs in that over, it's 266-5 after 48 overs.

End of the 47th over it's 259 for 5, Taskin concedes 7 runs in the over.

Four!! Dhananjaya leapt a shot over mid-off against Taskin.

After 46 overs, it's 252 for 5, Mustafizur conceded 5 runs in the over.

45 overs have gone, and Sri Lanka is 247 for 5. Finally, a boundary struck by Hasaranga; 8 runs coming off that over.

After 44 overs Sri Lanka is 239-5, Mustafizur conceded 5 runs in that over. The run rate is falling since Perera's departure.

After 43 overs it's 234 for 5, 5 runs and a wicket coming in that over.

Out!! Dickwella has been run out by a direct from Shoriful Islam.

Since Kusal's dismissal, it's been 22 balls since the last boundary.

Mustafizur finishes his over with a yorker, conceded only 4 runs. Sri Lanka 229 for 4 after 42 overs.

8 runs conceded by Shakib, Sri Lanka moves to 225-4 after 41 overs.

Dickwella joins Dhananjaya in the middle. It's 217 for 4 after 40 overs.

Wicket!! Mahmudullah takes a diving catch at mid-off to remove Sri Lanka captain. Perera goes for 120 off 122 balls.

7 runs coming off Shakib's, it's 216 for 3 after 39 overs.

Four!!! Perera went for a reverse sweep against Shakib and get four runs.

It's 209 for 3 after 38 overs, Shoriful conceded 6 runs in the over.

Dhananjaya goes over mid-off and gets four runs. Sri Lanka has a good chance to put a good total on board today.

After 37 overs, it's 203 for 3, Mustafizur Rahman continues his spell with a tight over

After 36 overs, it's 200 for 3, Mehidy Hasan completes his spell with a disciplined over, only 3 conceded from it

After 35 overs, it's 197 for 3, finally a good over for Lankans, they take 10 from Mustafizur Rahman's over, who's looked a bit rusty today.

After 34 overs, it's 187 for 3, Kusal Perera 106(106) and Dhananjaya de Silva 11(25) are batting patiently and have put Lanka in a strong position. Now, they need to start accelerating to get their team to a big total.

After 33 overs, it's 182 for 3, Shakib Al Hasan is constantly keeping it tight at the other end and not giving batsmen any chance to free their arms.

After 32 overs, it's 177 for 3, Mustafizur Rahman is brought back into the attack and he bowls a decent over, almost got the breakthrough but it was not to be.

CENTURY! Skipper Kusal Perera brings up his well-deserved century from 99 balls.

DROPPED! Kusal Perera is dropped on 99 by Mahmuddulah, who fails to hold onto a tough chance.

After 31 overs, it's 172 for 3, Shakib again keeps it tight and concedes only 2 runs.

After 30 overs, it's 170 for 3, Kusal Perera is inching closer to his century.

After 29 overs, it's 164 for 3, Shakib keeps it tight.

It's 161 for 3 after 28 overs, 5 runs coming off Taskin.

Decision overturned! Dhananjaya survives, the ball was going over the stumps.

LBW shout from Taskin, Dhananjaya opts for review after given out.

5 runs coming off that over. It's 156 for 3 after 27 overs. In 4 overs Shakib has just gone for 18 runs.

Dhananjaya joins the skipper. After 26 overs it's 151 for 3.

Wicket!!! Taskin strikes again and this time it's Mendis who just started to look comfortable. After a poor first over Tasking has really turned the game around for Bangladesh.

Mendis & Perera take Sri Lanka to 150-2 after 25 overs, 5 runs came off Shakib's bowling.

After 24 overs, it's 145 for 2 for Sri Lanka, 14 runs coming off Mosaddek over, which gives a good boost to the run rate.

Six!!!! Again bowled short but this time it's the captain who goes for six.

Six!!! Mendis punishes the bad ball bowled by Mosaddek. He sets his ground and pulls it over mid-wicket.

After 23 overs it's 131 for 2, Shakib only went for 5 runs in his over.

LBW shout from Shakib against Perera but the umpire is unmoved.

Sri Lanka stands at 126 for 2 after 22 overs. Bangladesh has started to control the run flow now.

Shakib Al Hasan has come into the attack as 'The Tigers' looks to break the partnership.

Another tight over by Mehidy, Sri Lanka 120-2 after 20 overs.

9 runs added to the total, it's 116-2 after 19 overs. Perera slowly moving towards 3 figures.

Pretty decent over from Mehidy Hasan; keeps it tight and gave away only 4 runs. Sri Lanka 107-2 after 18 overs.

After 17 overs it's 103 for 2, Shoriful gave away just 2 runs in the over.

Perera hits his 9th boundary of the match and brings Lanka's score to 101-2 after 16 overs. 8 runs off that over.

01:41 PM- Fifty for Kusal Perera, this is his 15th ODI half-century. It's good to see him leading from the front and batting fearlessly.

After 15 overs, it's 93-2, 5 runs coming off Mustafizur.

Sri Lanka 88-2 after 14 overs, Taskin keeps it tight and gave only 3 runs.

 After 13 overs it's 85-2, 3 runs coming off Mustafizur.

01:29 PM- This has been the problem with Lankans, they lose one wicket then fail to make a good partnership throughout their innings.

01:26 PM- Gone!!! Taskin gets another one. A beauty of a delivery. He gets extra bounce from the pitch and Nissanka snicks it behind for a regulation catch to Mushfiqur.

01:20 PM- Wicket!! Gunathilaka tries to go after a length ball he inside edges it and hits the wicket. Taskin gets the first breakthrough.

 Sri Lanka 79-0 after 11 overs, Mustafizur keeps it tight. This is the first economical over of the innings.

 After 10 overs it's 77-0 for Lankans, Mehidy gave away 11 runs in his over.

01:10 PM- Six!! Gunathilaka going after Mehidy hits him for a boundary and then a six.

01:09 PM- Sri Lanka 66-0 after 9 overs, 12 runs coming off the over.

Taskin bowls a poor first over going for 2 boundaries and a wide, his line was also all over the place.

01:03 PM- Smashed!!!! Taskin bowls a short delivery and Gunathilaka was quick onto it, which beats the deep square leg fielder.

01:00 PM- After 8 overs it's 54 for no loss, 4 runs came off Mehidy.

12:58 PM- Four! and Gunathilaka brings fifty for the Lankans. Bangladesh's spinners are really struggling with their lengths today.

12:55 PM- After 6 overs, it's 41-0, 5 runs coming off Mehidy.

12:52 PM- Sri Lanka 36-0, 9 runs coming off that over.

Mossaddek comes into the attack and Perera welcome him with a boundary. Perera is on 30 off 24 balls.

12:49 PM- After 4 overs, it's 27-0, again 8 runs coming off the over.

This is a very positive start from the Lankans after losing the first 2 ODI's badly.

12:47 PM- Four!! Kusal sweeps handsomely towards the fine leg.

12:45 PM- Sri Lanka 19-0, 8 runs coming Shoriful.

Perera again hits 2 boundaries in the over, one towards deep square leg and one chipping over cover.

12:42 PM- Four!! Perera pulls Shoriful Islams' short ball towards Deep Square Leg.

12:41 PM- After 2 overs it's 11-o for Sri Lanka, 3 runs coming off that over.

12:40 PM- Bangladesh again opting to go with a spinner in the powerplay, Mehidy Hasan will bowl the second over.

12:37 PM- Over 1: Sri Lanka 9 without loss

Kusal Perera opened the account with a boundary and then again on the 3rd ball he hit a four, This is a good positive approach from the captain.

In their 18-year-old bilateral history in ODIs, the Tigers have suffered a clean sweep five times at the hands of Lankans. Can they avenge at least a bit of the humiliating defeats on Friday or will Sri Lanka bounce back to save their honour?
