Preview:

The 12th match of KFC Big Bash League is set to be an exciting battle to watch out for. Hobart Hurricanes will be hosting Perth Scorchers at Bellerive Oval in Hobart on December 14. Both the team are riding with comprehensive wins in their last outings. Although Hobart started low after losing to Sydney Sixers by 14 runs, but bounced back really strong to knock off the same opponents in a rain affected match.

Mathew Wade-led Hobart from the front with an impressive knock of 93 off just 46 balls, which was well supported by D'Arcy Short's 73 and a quick cameo from Caleb Jewell (42 off 23). All of these laid the foundation for a mammoth total of 213 in 20 overs. However, the match was reduced to 18 overs and a new target of 196 runs was set for the chase. Joel Paris starred with the ball for the Hurricanes, picking up three wickets as they restricted the Sixers to 151, winning the game by 44 runs.

On the other hand, Perth Scorchers started their campaign on a winning note and are yet to lose a match in the eighth season of BBL. They defeated Brisbane Heat in their opening game and followed it up by beating Adelaide Strikers in their next game. In their last match against Adelaide Strikers, opener Colin Munro displayed one of the best knocks of the league by staying unbeaten at 114, as the team scored 195 in 20 overs. While defending, Jason Behrendorff and Andrew Tye, each picked three wickets and successfully stopped Strikers at 146.
