The remainder of IPL 2021 is set to resume in UAE in September-October after BCCI's successful negotiations with Emirates Cricket Board. With a plan regarding all the arrangements in place, the resumption of the tournament is set to be announced on Monday officially. As per reports, BCCI are likely to announce the fixtures of second half of IPL 2021 which will clarify all the doubts regarding the date of return, number of double-headers and the date of final showdown.

How many matches are remaining in the tournament?

After 29 matches were already conducted in the first half of the tournament in India, as many as 31 matches are remaining in IPL 2021. It includes 27 league games and 3 play-off games apart from the grand finale clash.

When is the tournament expected to begin?

As per the initial reports, the tournament is expected to resume on September 19 2021 with the finals set to take place on 15 October 2021. While the dates are not yet confirmed, it has been revealed that BCCI are trying their best to ensure as less double-headers as possible to avoid afternoon games in the hot UAE weather at that time.
