Ben Stokes trolls England skipper Joe Root with hilarious caption after photoshoot ahead of NZ series

England all-rounder Ben Stokes will not feature in the Test series against New Zealand, but he is keeping a close track on his teammates. Stokes was enjoying on the eve of the 1st Test as he shared some hilarious pictures of the national team’s photo shoot on social media. He posted the photos of Test captain Joe Root, James Anderson, Start Broad and several other teammates with witty captions on his Instagram stories.

Sharing ECB’s post which featured the team’s pictures in their new jersey, Ben Stokes took a cheeky dig at his teammates. Even skipper Joe Root couldn’t escape as Stokes hilariously trolled Roots’ photoshoot picture. Ahead of the Test series against New Zealand, Stokes posted a picture of England’s Test skipper Joe Root on his Instagram story. He cheekily captioned the post, “Why do you keep asking what chest size my trousers are?? @root66”.

Ben Stokes is currently recovering from the finger injury he picked up at the Indian Premier League 2021. He recently returned to training after undergoing surgery in April. Stokes will likely be featuring for Durham in the T20 Blast in July before facing India in the five-match Test series.

Later today, England kick start their summer with two-match Test series against New Zealand at Lord’s Cricket ground. England will give chances to few fresh faces in this series as they are not rushing the Test regulars who have recently returned from IPL.
