The Wednesday evening saw Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders lock horns at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. After a disappointment with the ball in the first game against Punjab, RCB bowlers turned it around against KKR. They dismissed the entire team for a mere 128. Akash Deep started the proceedings for RCB as he removed Venkatesh Iyer. After that, it was pure dominance from RCB bowlers.
After pacers destroyed the top order inside the powerplay, Wanindu Hasaranga ran through KKR's middle order. He claimed a total of four wickets in the game including the prized wickets of Shreyas Iyer. The right-arm leggie also dismissed Sunil Narine, Sheldon Jackson, and Tim Southee in his spell of four overs.
While RCB bowlers were hitting the right lengths, KKR batters looked clueless. They fell prey to short-pitch deliveries.
