With the suspension of the Indian Premier League 2021, the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has a lot of tasks to complete. Unfortunately, the decision to suspend the cash-rich league was taken after members of several franchises tested positive for COVID-19, despite being inside the bio-bubble. However, the BCCI is looking for a suitable window to complete the remainder season.

Ramesh Powar likely return as head coach of India Women's team

Amidst all this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to announce the new head coach of the Indian Women's team. According to reports, CAC has recommended Ramesh Powar as the head coach for the Women's side. However, the official announcement is yet to come from the Indian board.

Notably, Ramesh Powar was the head coach of the Indian Women's team before Woorkeri Raman took the charge. In 2018, the feud between ODI captain Mithali Raj and Powar unfolded as the veteran cricketer had lashed out at Powar after she was controversially left out of the World T20 semifinal against England.
