The 12th installment of the widely-popular Assassin's Creed series - Assassin's Creed Valhalla - has proven to be quite a hit since it's launch in 2020. Although the action game has received good response from the gaming community, developers Ubisoft Montreal are not in a mood to sit back right now. The plan is to continuously grow and build the game as they are all set to bring the second major expansion to the game.
Although quite a lot of advancements are expected to take place in 2022, the Siege of Paris expansion is expected to be introduced this year itself. After the players were taken to 8th century Dublin with the Wrath of Druids expansion, they will now be taken to the beautiful city of Paris. Interestingly, the franchise last visited the French capital in the 8th installment i.e. Assassin's Creed Unity.
What are Black Box missions?
However, the most exciting thing about this much-awaited Siege of Paris DLC is the fact that black box missions will be making their way back to Assassin's Creed. Notably, the black box missions were first introduced by the franchise in Assassin’s Creed Unity released in 2014. As revealed in the latest teaser, Black Box Infiltration missions are returning which is certainly going to make things quite interesting for the players.
The feature brings with itself a lot of thrill as the players get to perform various tasks to be able to build up to execute an assassination. In simple words, the process is as follows:
- Locate your target
- Find opportunities
- Discover secret paths
- Approach your target
- Perform special kills
When will the expansion be introduced?
As per reports, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - Siege of Paris could be released on August 5, 2021. Initially, it had been suggested that the expansion would be introduced in the second half of this year, making the rumours of leaked date of release possibly true.
The developers have brought about quite a few old features in the 12th installment of the game and they have received quite a positive response from the players. However, it will be very interesting to see how the Black Box Infiltration missions fair in the Siege of Paris DLC.
