The Indian Premier League has let us witness the perfect blend of cricket and Bollywood, the two most admirals and followed genres in India. However, the upcoming season is set to get bigger in terms of teams playing the game. With the addition of two new franchises, the magnitude of the upcoming 15th edition of the tournament has reached a new level.

Considering the growing stature of IPL, we can surely witness more stakeholders from the Bollywood fraternity taking part in the tournament adding more feathers. Recently the Board of Cricket Council of India roped in Tata group as their new official sponsors replacing Vivo, the Chinese mobile phone brand. The news was widely applauded from different walks of society, and amongst many, Bollywood's highly regarded actor Arjun Ramal was also delighted with the transition.

Expressing his joy over the news, Rampal shared a short clip that showed the change in logo from Vivo to Tata. His tweet read, “And that’s a Six!!! What a way to replace the logo of Sponsor of IPL.”

Reportedly, Vivo agreed to pay INR 2,199 crore for five seasons beginning in 2018. The original deal was set to end in 2022, but as Dream11 sponsored the 2020 edition of the league, the contract with Vivo was extended till 2023. Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Jay Shah recently shared his happiness over the change in sponsorship.

The mega auction of IPL is set to take place next month, with several players going under the hammer.
