An early lunch was taken in the auction as everyone awaits an update on health status of the auctioneer. As per the recent update from Bengaluru, it is being told that he was being attended by the medical team and is notably fine. "Hugh Edmeades the auctioneer is fine but a bit shaken! Was a physical fall no internal issues with him," confirmed sports presenter Gautam Bhimani.

Notably, the auctioneer was expected to continue the proceedings when event resumes at IST 3:30 PM onwards. However, as reported by senior journalist K Shrinivas Rao, Presenter Charu Sharma might conduct the remainder of auction on Day 1, with Edmeades supposedly needing some rest.

Notably, when the mega auction was suspended, all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga was under the hammer with RCB holding the current bid for him at INR 10.75 Cr. The post-lunch session is likely to resume from the same point.
