The current pandemic situation in the country is getting from bad to worse with the continuous rising cases. However, in these difficult times, the world of cricket has united in the battle against COVID-19 and some people have come up with heartwarming gestures to lend a helping hand to the nation. Earlier, Aussie speedster Pat Cummins started the much-needed initiative after he had donated $50,000 for oxygen supply. He was hailed by the fans from all over the world for his valuable contribution.

Brett Lee, who is currently working with the broadcasting team in IPL 2021, has notable donated 1 Bitcoin (around INR 42 Lakh) for the purchase of oxygen supplies to hospitals across the country.

In a heartfelt post on Twitter, the 44-year-old said, “India has always been a second home for me. The love and affection that I have got from the people of this country both during my professional career and even after my retirement, holds a special place in my heart.” Lee added that he is saddened to see people suffering due to the ongoing pandemic and want to help the ones in need.
