The second edition of the Legends League Cricket is all set to treat cricket fans with yet another interesting and exciting edition, featuring retired cricketers. After the likes of Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Muttiah Muralitharan and Misbah-ul-Haq confirmed their participation, the tournament has now added players like Brett Lee (Australia), Liam Plunkett (England), Joginder Sharma (India), Albie Morkel (South Africa), Jonty Rhodes (South Africa), Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando (Sri Lanka) to its list.

Raman Raheja, the CEO and Co-founder of Legends League Cricket welcomed the players and stated that the association of such players with the league will surely enhance the status of the tournament and will add more fan base.

"Inclusion of these players in the second edition is making the second season more bolder and bigger. With great pleasure, we welcome them to the Legends family and look forward to witnessing their magic on the field at LLC Season 2," said Raheja. Recently, LLC confirmed the addition of S Sreesanth, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Kevin O’Brien.

Responding to the development, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag stated that he is pretty excited to be part of the league as he missed playing in the inaugural season. "I love to be on the Cricket field. I missed the playing 1st season of LLC but it would be great to go back into the field with the LLC season 2," he claimed.

Spin wizard and former Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan expressed his excitement about his association with the league and said he enjoyed being part of the league in season 1 and assured that season 2 will be more exciting. Former Ireland all-rounder Kevin O’Brien is also looking forward to season 2 and expressed his gratitude towards the franchises of the World Giants team for roping him into the squad.

Notably, the inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket had former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and England among other cricketing nations. Retired cricketers were divided into three teams India, Asia, and the Rest of the World. The second season of the tournament is set to begin on September 20, 2022 and conclude on October 10, 2022.
