Over the past few weeks, it has been claimed that Juventus are considering selling their marquee striker Cristiano Ronaldo due to him being the club’s highest earner and there being a need for Bianconeri to ease their salary and wage bill. Moreover, there were reports earlier in the Spanish media about how the newly appointed manager, Carlo Ancelotti is personally trying to plot a sensational return of the 36-years-old.

But as it stands, Ancelotti has rejected and buried all the claims of Ronaldo returning to Real Madrid. Although he appreciated and showcased the respect and admiration he had for the Portugal captain, he confirmed that he has never considered an approach to be re-united with the talismanic striker in the Spanish capital.

Carlo Ancelotti gives his honest opinion

"Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my love and respect. I have never considered signing him. We look forward. #Go Madrid," tweeted Carlo Ancelotti who became the new manager of Real Madrid prior to the start of the 2021-22 season, replacing Zinedine Zidane.

Those who are not aware, Ancelotti left Los Blancos six years earlier. Ronaldo played a huge role in his stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. He led Ancelotti’s Real Madrid to Champions League triumph in 2014. Not only that, Ronaldo starred as Madrid also clinched FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup titles. Moreover, CR7 is the all-time club record goal scorer at Real Madrid, where he netted a tally of 450 goals in 438 appearances.

With CR7 out of the picture now, there have been reports of Real Madrid strongly focusing on Paris Saint Germain's Kylian Mbappe. Having said that, it remains to be seen what drama unfolds in the remainder of the 2021 transfer window. And most importantly, whether or not Cristiano Ronaldo will part ways with the Bianconeri, who are clearly not comfortable in sustaining the wage bills of the Portuguese striker.
