Indian badminton star PV Sindhu scripted history defeating China’s Wang Zhi Yi 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 to claim her maiden Singapore Open title and third title in 2022 after the Korea Open and Swiss Open.
Sindhu dominated in the first game as she took just 12 minutes to wrap up the opening game as she registered 13 consecutive points. Wang Zhi then fought back in incredible fashion to level the final as she won the second game. The final game started off on an intense note but Sindhu soon took a five-point lead. Wang Zhi once again fought back but fell short as Sindhu sealed her first Super 500 title of 2022.
