PSG will lock horns with Bayern Munich in the second leg of the quarter final of the Champions League. The first leg was brimming with action and entertainment and PSG pocketed that match, 3-2. Defending champions Bayern Munich have their task cut out and need to bring out their best game in order to get back into the game.
Leandro Paredes will be featuring in the game as he is coming back from the suspension period. Marco Verrati has tested negative and is likely to be back in the XI. He had missed out on the first leg after testing positive for COVID-19. Keylor Navas has a muscle injury and is thus unlikely to feature for the side.
Serge Gnabry’s test also resulted positive for COVID-19 & thus will be missing out on this game. Robert Lewandowski had suffered a knee injury when he was on international duty against Poland and has not recovered yet.
PSG had defeated the Bavarians at the Allianz Arena in their last leg and hold upper hand ahead of this game. Mauricio Pochettino’s side were fearless and played good football to win against the defending champions. While Kylian Mbappe netted a brace, Marquinhos scored 1 goal. Neymar too was absolutely brilliant. PSG are also coming on the back off a 4-1 victory against Strasbourg in the Ligue-1 and thus they will be brimming with confidence.
As Bayern had lost the previous leg at home, the job will be tough for them as a draw would make PSG qualify to the last-four. The Bavarians were quite dominant in the game and had also equalized in the 37th minute. The goal was scored by Maxim Choupo-Moting. But the French side made sure they grab onto every opportunity they get, and thus eclipsed past the Bavarians. Bayern are coming on the back off a 1-1 draw with Union Berlin and it will be a tough time for Bayern. But Thomas Muller had scored the second goal for them and will be the player to watch out for.
