Preview:

The first leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City was an instant classic with seven-combined goals scored in the fixture. The Citizens took an early lead thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s header in the second minute of the game followed by Gabriel Jesus’ close-range finish in the 12th minute.

The Los Blancos finally retaliated with Karim Benzema's brilliant finish. City, in the second half, scored with another clinical finish by Phil Foden. But immediately two minutes later, Vinicious Jr. scored dashed past Fernandinho along the left flank and scored a Gareth Bale-Esque solo finish.

Then at the 74th-minute mark, Man City once again scored a beautiful goal thanks to Bernardo Silva.  Eight minutes later, Karim Benzema doubled his tally as hit a near-perfect panenka to make the score 4-3 at the end of the first leg.

Team news:

Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti will miss the services of Gareth Bale, who is out with a back injury, while David Alaba has a minor muscular issue that could keep him out of the match, hence Los Blanco's defence could be caught off guard by the dominant City attack.

Manchester City

Just like the first leg, Pep Guardiola will have two key defensive injuries as he comes back to Santiago Bernabeu as John Stones with a muscular injury and Kyle Walker with an ankle injury are set to be ruled out of the return leg.

Key Players

Analysis:

Real Madrid will have Thibaut Courtois in the sticks who has been extremely dependable with top defenders like Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy. Nacho Fernandez will possibly replace David Alba as he has been injured. But Casemiro’s return will boost the chances of Madrid. They also have one of the best attacks with stars like Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

Whereas  Manchester City has been playing like one of the greatest teams ever assembled with machine-like precision and overall quality. Under Pep Guardiola, the Citizens play a fluid brand of football. Their only liability could be the left-back position. Otherwise with stars like Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne; Phil Foden, Man City often walk in as favourites.
