After two action-packed days in Bengaluru, the mega auction has finally come to an end and the Class of '22 is ready for all franchises. While all the teams came up with different strategies and approach this time around, there was one team who stuck to the formula which has given them success over the years - Chennai Super Kings!

The Yellow Army have always believed in getting their former players back into the squad during these auctions. And they once again managed to do that this year as well. Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, N Jagadeesan, KM Asif, Mitchell Santner - CSK won the bid for all of them to get them back to home.

However, despite building a solid squad and getting former players back, the fans are extremely unhappy with them. This is primarily because of one reason - Absence of Suresh Raina. The CSK veteran has been one of the most prolific run-scorers in IPL, playing so many match-winning knocks for his side.

They were once again expected to bid for Raina during the mega auction. But following a disappointing campaign last season, Chennai Super Kings decided to not raise their paddle, much to everyone's surprise.

While fans hoped that franchise will get the player back in the final phase of the auctions, the 35-year-old was surprisingly not even named in the list of players (from the unsold lot) for the final accelerated phase of the event.

As CSK posted their final squad update on social media, the fans voiced their disappointment in comments. While some claimed that they will start supporting Mumbai (their arch-rivals), others clearly stated that there is no full squad without Chinna Thala.

The fans were indeed not happy with the management for not bidding for Raina and it is indeed an end of an incredible era. Although CSK did put up an appreciation post for the player stating, "Super Thanks for all the Yellove memories, Chinna Thala!," it was not enough to get back the support from fans as people went after the franchise under that post as well.
