The full-fledged schedule of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League was announced on Sunday evening. As reported earlier by SportsTiger, the tournament opener will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26. With the addition of two new teams, the number of league games has gone up by 14. The seventy games are scheduled to be played across five venues in Mumbai and Pune while clarity on venues for Playoffs is still awaited.
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will be starting their campaign on the first day against KKR, as mentioned above. They will then play Punjab Kings in their second game on 3 April. They face their nemesis Mumbai Indians on 21 April as they are placed in two different groups. CSK play their 3rd and 4th league game on 9 and 12 April respectively. Their last league game will be against Gujarat Titans on 15 May.
