Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has arrived in Carrington with fellow new signing Lisandro Martinez for their first Manchester United training session. Legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo was also spotted appearing for his transfer talks with his manager Jorge Mendes.

Eriksen was spotted driving former Ajax centre-back Martinez in Carrington amid Cristiano Ronaldo's future talks with Manchester United's new head coach Erik ten Hag. Former Man United coach Sir Alex Ferguson was also spotted arriving at the Red Devils' training ground to convince Ronaldo to stay at the club.

United will take on Brighton in their first match of the upcoming Premier League season on August 7 as the new signings Eriksen and Martinez hit the ground on Tuesday to confirm their places in the starting line-up.

37-year-old Ronaldo has expressed his desire to play for a club that is eligible to compete in the Champions League next season. However, Manchester United are adamant that the Portugal international is not for sale as he has one year remaining on his contract.

Earlier, United's new head coach Erik ten Hag has indicated his inclination on working with Cristiano Ronaldo next season while the club have reportedly asked Ronaldo to extend his contract by one season to move to a new club on a loan deal for this year.
